In the spring of 2015, I had the idea of painting superheroes on the walls of a toy-room for grandkids. I picked less well-known Marvel characters I had liked as a kid; instead of Spider-Man and Captain America, there would be the Black Panther, Angel, and Scarlet Witch. I worked on the initial drawings through the summer but then began having to work six nights a week at my real job for the next eight months. So for that and other reasons, I never got around to executing the planned mural, although I finished the original drawings and colored copies of them (except for Storm and the Thing). The following winter, I began taking online classes in web design. In experiments with creating basic web pages, I sent myself an email with the colored copies and the original team panorama (above or at your left). Those wound up being the only survivors as the old laptop died in the spring, and all the original drawings went into limbo for the foreseeable future.
