"Is The Dow Rising?" is a comic strip I began working on over a decade ago. After the 2004 U.S. elections, I came up with ideas and sketches for a superhero team made up of members of the Bush Administration. For instance, U.S. Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld bore an uncanny resemblance to Frankenstein's Monster. And Dick Cheney, as the man in charge, was initially depicted as a Professor X-type character (which is why he was now in a wheelchair). Once I got a computer and found I could draw with a mouse, I began to create this comic strip in Microsoft Paint, with Dick Cheney as a seemingly omnipresent being. I hope you enjoy my experiment in political cartooning.
